You start a new habit with full of zeal however, you failed often. Or may be you have recently started working but your busy regime , office work load, or whatever execuse hinders you to reach your aim.

  • I was among the crowd who failed at several points and still failing . I used to wake up late every morning. I dreamt of waking up at 4am. Reading habit was like and expensive car which I can’t even dream of even touching. I read 54 books in 2020. I workout one and half hour a day, 20 mins cardio. I write 3 pages daily. That’s what I achieved, Yeah! this is my highest achievement ever.

After experimenting several things, reading from different non-fictions. I adopted some of the tricks and tips to achieve my new habits.

Here are some of tips you can also use for yourself for sticking and following new habit without failing.

  1. Ask yourself why do you want to start?

Before even starting new habit of reading, writing or working out or any other habit which is adding value in you, jot down all your reasons why you want to start, what forced you to do this. What changes this new habit will bring in your life. How this habit will take you to next level. Visualize yourself as pro in this habit. Set a wallpaper of your journal and put it as a wallpaper in your phone or tablet where you can see it daily.

2. Do this for 20 mins

In first twenty four hours once you’ve convinced yourself to do it any caost, do this for 15–20 mins only not more than that. Do not exhaust yourself with so much pressure. Go slowly but consistently, once you will be expert in this field you yourself advice every one for being patient and consistent.

3. Do it in early hours of day

Well it is recommended to everyone to start your new habit in small hours of day. Because you may stuck or tired after the dusk unlike in morning when you are fresh and not in hurry, no excuse to miss it. Morning doesn’t mean 11 am but 5–9 am. In case you are working in night shift, do it when you wake up.

4. Assign your time

Mark time in clock that at this particular time I will do this only. Assign specific time for your hobby as it is of course special and will transform you sooner. Also, psychologically at this particular time it will prompt you to do this task. It will again and again force you for not missing it.

5. Challenge Yourself

Once you have made it your ritual of day. One day challenge yourself with situation. For instance, party hard till 2 am and do not miss gym at 5 am. This stupid idea will make you guru and dedicated even more than before. You can beat anything after you achieve this.

6. Something is better than nothing.

Consistency is the key, we all know. But what if we have no minute for it and unable to take even a single step for it, take half then or crawl . For instance, you are shattered completely and can not read or write. Just sit there and read or write one page only. It will keep motivated and serious.

7. Track your progress

Tracking boosts your inner animal to hit the target. It will tell the proximity between you and your aim. You can analysis where are your weakness and strengths. This is tested and it works. Make a chart for your daily progress and gaze carefully where you are going.
